International Organization of Zerophiliacs Settles Legal Dispute with producers of independent film, "Zerophilia."

LOS ANGELES, CA., July 26, 2008 – The International Organization of Zerophiliacs LLC ("IOZ") today announced an agreement with Microangelo Entertainment and Scrambled Eggs Productions, producers of the independent film, ZEROPHILIA, resolving all pending legal disputes between the companies.

"We at the IOZ were concerned that a Hollywood comedy on this subject could undermine acceptance of this condition just as public awareness of its existence is growing," according to IOZ spokesman, S. Alzercan. "There are thousands of Zerophiliacs worldwide and an unknown, but potentially far greater number with a latent Z-Chromosome precursor. As the leading source of information on Zerophilia, we at the IOZ wanted to ensure that this condition is presented in a favorable light. We are happy to report that the producers were uniformly helpful and understanding of our concerns. After permitting us to view a rough cut of the film, all our fears were laid to rest. We are thrilled that this delightful film will raise public awareness."

"This is one of those cases of truth stranger than fiction," said Writer-Director, Martin Curland. "A few years ago, a friend showed me research suggesting a link between Progressive Gender Transmogrification and the presence of a Z-chromosome. That gave me the idea to write this comedy about a young man who's insecure about his masculinity and then discovers he's got this Z-Chromosome that could turn him into a girl. If that's not threatening to your masculinity, I don't know what is."

Exact terms of the agreement were undisclosed, but representatives on both sides acknowledged the arrangement includes a re-shoot of one key scene and a disclaimer in the opening credits disavowing any official sanction of the film by the IOZ. In exchange, the IOZ agreed to immediately lift a court-ordered injunction that had been delaying distribution of the film, now slated to open in theatres this October.
